Memorial Day Weekend
Well Memorial Day weekend started off Friday afternoon with a call from Amira's school advising me that she had a fever and didn't feel good. So grabbed all my work stuff to take home with me as after picking her up, assessing her condition, we'd be spending the remainder of the day at home where I could continue working as well as taking care of her.
She's been pretty much couch bound since Friday afternoon with little movement, but with each passing few hours she seems to be doing better, alhamdullilah. However, this has also kept us from going to see my mom but thank goodness for at least phones.
Mom seems to be doing pretty good. Of course, the recovery will be long with good and bad days; however, she has a toughness about her that is amazing.
Saturday Amira and I pretty much watched movies all day due to her not feeling well. Watched lots of SpongeBob Square Pants until I nearly lost my mind. Now don't get me wrong SpongeBob cracks me up, but too much of SpongeBob can be a bad thing. :-) Then we watched Alvin and the Chipmunks which is a really cute movie. Then finally, grown up movies for mommy. Watched Tyler Perry's "Why Did I Get Married" movie and one of his plays "Madea Goes to Jail". I'm telling you this guy is something amazing. Truly a gifted person who seems to be using the gifts God gave him to share with the world. All of his work is filled with humor, life lessons, and wonderful spiritual messages.
Sunday will work later today for 4 1/2 hours and then from then on we'll see what the rest of the weekend has in store for us.

I thought Alvin and Chipmunks was the grown up movie ( I loved it ):P. I've also been meaning to watch "Why Did I Get Married"; but never got around to it , thanks for reminding me though ;).

I was so glade to hear your mom is doing so much better .Amira sounds like a very active little girl .I am sure she keeps you busy !!I don't know how you manage to do all the things you have to do .Allah bless you .

Alhamdulellah your mum is on the mend and I hope dear Amira is feeling a lot better today.
yestrday being a bank holiday in the UK, Nick Junior channel had a back to back Spongebob day and they consentrated on the episodes that have Plankton who is my favourite character, lovely :o)
It has to be my favourite program ever but as you said "too much of SpongeBob can be a bad thing".
Hope Amira is feeling better now. Even though your weekend didn't go as planned it sounds like you got some unexpected rest time.
