Perhaps selfish to ask, but will anyway
Well we received some news that seems great. The doctor shared he was really pleased with my mom's progress so is placing her on the schedule to have a permanent pace maker installed tomorrow sometime. So, please continue your prayers.
As an aside, my father informed me this morning my aunt (mom's sister) and her husband are currently driving out from Kansas so my aunt can be with my mom. I was thrilled to know my aunt wanted to come be with my mom, but not thrilled when I heard she was coming with HIM. Her husband was the one that molested his daughter and I when we were kids. I cannot tell you how sickened I am knowing he's coming with her. Please keep this also in your prayers as I've not had to face this man in many many years and had wishfully hoped I'd never have to see him again after violating us. I had the misfortune of seeing him at my cousin's wedding, which he tried to make me drink beer all the while telling me how pretty I was. Such a disgusting individual.
They have a saying that goes something like, "God never gives you more than you can handle", but I'm telling you I don't know about all this.
Thank you in advance for your prayers and support.

Its good to hear of your mothers recovery, she seems to be doing fine; but maybe she will have to watch her diet in the future so as to control her diabetes.

There is an Ayaa to that effect, Highlander quoted it recently as well, here it is :
"286 On no soul doth Allah Place a burden greater than it can bear. It gets every good that it earns, and it suffers every ill that it earns. (Pray:) "Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget or fall into error; our Lord! Lay not on us a burden Like that which Thou didst lay on those before us; Our Lord! Lay not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Blot out our sins, and grant us forgiveness. Have mercy on us. Thou art our Protector; Help us against those who stand against faith."
There is also another Ayaa that might lessen your pain, even though the translation is weak :
"[94:5] With pain there is gain [94:6] Indeed, with pain there is gain"
salaam and take care
