A Thousand Splendid Suns

I was so thrilled when I finally saw the recent release of Khaled Hosseini's latest book A Thousand Splendid Suns. There is something inexplicitly fascinating to me in his writings.

When I read his first novel, The Kite Runner, I found myself not wanting to do anything else but stay connected to Mr. Hosseini's depicting imagines of the characters' life experience in Afghanistan and the United States.

Truly I felt I was living the exact experience the writer was describing on every single page. At certain moments I found I needed to remind myself to breath, and other moments finding my cheeks and the pages of the book filled with teardrops.

Currently, more than half way through A Thousand Splendid Suns, I find myself having all those same stimulating feelings as I did in The Kite Runner. Perhaps even more so because some of the main characters are of the lives of women. Being able to relate to some of their life's experiences and still pained by the atrocities committed by humans towards humans.
