Neither Blonde Nor Female

These contractors are installing the steel pillars in concrete to stop vehicles from parking on the pavement outside a Sports Bar downtown. They are now in the process of cleaning up at the end of the day and anxious to go home.

How long do you think it will be before they realize where they parked?

Days of Sunshine

Memorial Day weekend was very nice, quiet and relaxing. Spent Saturday doing errands and then the evening at my dad's with the family. Played a little baseball after dinner.

Sunday and Monday Amira and I spent time at an aquatic center not too far from our home. Packed a picnic, towels and sunscreen and we were all set. Had a great time. Something very relaxing and calming about water.

Only two and a half weeks left of school and then graduation for Amira.

Barbie cakes

While perusing the blogsphere this morning I came across Shahrazad's blog and she was sharing photos of a lovely bakery in Libya. The photos made my mouth water for sure.

She shared one cake of a Barbie for Amira. I'm including it in this post because it's beautiful. I'm also attaching two pictures of the cake I did for Amira's her 3rd birthday. I had made the cake (sugarfree) and purchased the doll (picked the doll because it looked like Amira with brown curly hair and blue eyes......lol) for the cake, but my friend, Mindy, gets the credit for the decoration and final touches.
