Dress Rehearsal

Today was dress rehearsal/picture day at Amira's dance studio. They have been preparing for their dance recital, which will be taking place on December 8th. I'm sure at this point the parents are far more excited than the kids because I don't believe any of the four performing have ever done a recital before so therefore don't know what to expect.

I was able to sneak a couple of pictures of her in her costume (her group is going to be Candy Canes - performing a song from the Nutcracker). The first two were captured by my digital, but then the batteries died, , so had to resort to my cell for the other two.

Her teacher let the girls show the parents a preview of their dance routine today, which was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute. ;-)

Salam Maya,
Thank you! I'm hoping my dad or brother can video tape her performance as I'll be back stage with the kids. So, if we are successful at getting it videoed I'll share, inshallah.

Nice photos of your daughter. Camera dying on you, it just happened to me 2 days ago when I was attending disco dance night at my kids elementary school but luckily my camera died on me in the last minute. Extra battery are always handy. Make sure you have your camera charged before the recital and have extra battery with you and have it in your bag in the morning because I have seen a lot of parents regretting not bringing their cameras.

Salam MusicLover,
Wow-I do not believe I've had the honor of your commenting via Anonymously on my blog....thank you, and welcome. You are absolutely right--stocking up on batteries.

Salam Dusk Till Dawn,
Whew--relieved to know tear shedding is allowed because after all I am a bawl-baby. Can't help it--just feel things deeply. :-) Of course Amira has no idea what the recital or anything is about because she's never done it--but after the 8th she sure will. :-)

Salam Maysoon,
Thank you. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that sees her as a princess....lol Although, could do without the royal tude sometimes...LOL All of her little friends are just so adorable. You want to pick them all up and squeeze them. :0)
