We Might Be In Kansas

At this very moment I am uncertain as to where we might be on this planet after waking to 85-mph winds, that I swear have blown us to Kansas or to some unknown place in the middle of the night because I don't think we're in California anymore. We have not had weather like this in quite some time, so forget how forceful Mother nature can be. Moreover, what a wonderful reminder of no matter how much we'd like to believe we are in charge of our simple selves, we are not.

If I may indulge in a lighter side of this hectic storm, and perhaps even a little selfishness, this weather is going to make for a bad hair day. By the end of the day, I'm sure Amira and I will look like matted tumbleweed heads that are filled with so much static electricity that if we even wonder within 5 feet of each other we'll shock the heck out of one another. So much for cuddle time. :-)

Anyway, as far as I can tell from the early bird's eye view of this impressive storm, all seems to still be in tack, alhamdullilah. This storm is suppose to last through the weekend, so will let you know. Until then, it will bring back the days of being at Disneyland riding on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

Talking of "Wizard of OZ" my friend recommended me to watch "TIN MAN", it was quiet good

For this kind of storm, you can read or watch "The Grapes of Wrath"

Hey Mixed Up Me--Did you survive on your end?

Salam Ahmed,
I certainly didn't feel like I was in California anymore---kept having Amira click her little red shoes in an effort to get back to normalcy. :0) Alhamdullilah all is well.

Salam PH,
We had to drive in this stuff yesterday and it was absolutely amazing. Cars driving off the on ramps the wrong way, trees, fences, etc. all over the place. No power. It was a pretty incredible experience, alhamdullilah. The worse part was the messing of my hair---HATE THAT...lol

Salam MusicLover,
I have not seen Tin Man, but have heard it's good. You are right we were transported back to the Grapes of Wrath....LOOOOOL That's usually the first thing I think when it's stormy and no electricity....lol

Salam Enlightened Spirit,
Whew--just knowing there's a team standing by helps tremendously, thanks. We've awakened to a cloudless day, barely moving trees and a sense of calm----isn't that usually when the next storm comes---when it seems too calm? Anyway, there's suppose to be another one coming, so will hunker down should it decide to stop by for a visit.
