Salam Ahmed,
Yes, it might be a little early, but the vines were starting to die so my mom thought we should cut them off the vines before the pumpkins died too. However, pumpkins actually last a very long time once removed from the vine. We aren't going to carve them like most people do at Halloween---we just enjoy them in their natural state.

Amira's little school is going on a field trip this Friday to a pumpkin patch, so am looking forward to that adventure. :-)

Salam Dusk Till Dawn,
It was fun to watch Amira gathering the pumpkins with her grandparents, alhamdullilah. Of course, the princess always gets what she wants, right? LOL She was being generous by leaving 14 pumpkins behind....lol

You know I love Halloween for the mere fact that it's the one time of year where grown-ups can get dressed up in costume and be silly like kids. However, I don't like all the candy that is handed out. Most people know Amira and I don't do the sugar thing, so give her different treats, but on Halloweed people spend gazillions of dollars on candy and hand it out in the bucket loads for these kids to drowned themselves in it....LOL

Salam Anglo-Libyan,
Well Amira got to be the first to select her pumpkins, and last night my nephew was going over to select his pumpkins. My mom will probably display a few on her front porch, and then the remainder they will share with all the neighborhood kids.
