Well in defense of Miss Teen USA South Carolina, I have to give her a little bit of reprieve for merely being nervous standing in front of a huge audience. HOWEVER, what a fine reflection her answer gives to our educational system. Are we not a proud nation?

Well all I'll say is that admitting the problem exists is the first step to solving it ......... but this has been discussed at lengths on other posts here and here if you want to have a laugh at it :P.

I was too embarassed for her to even listen to the whole thing . . .she doesn't make me (as a teacher) look very good! (You know, because it's all about ME!)
