Life's Travel

As you travel through life there are always those times
When decisions just have to be made,
When the choices are hard, and solutions seem scarce,
And the rain seems to soak your parade.

There are some situations where all you can do
Is simply let go and move on,
Gather your courage and choose a direction
That carries you toward a new dawn.
So pack up your troubles and take a step forward -

The process of change can be tough,
But think about all the excitement ahead
There might be adventures you never imagined
Just waiting around the next bend,
And wishes and dreams just about to come true
In ways you can't yet comprehend!

Perhaps you'll find friendships that spring from new things
As you challenge your status quo,
And learn there are so many options in life,
Perhaps you'll go places you never expected
And see things that you've never seen,
Or travel to fabulous, faraway worlds
And wonderful spots in between!

Perhaps you'll find warmth and affection and caring,
And somebody special who's there
To help you stay centered and listen with interest
To stories and feelings you share.

Perhaps you'll find comfort in knowing your friends
Are supportive of all that you do,
And believe that whatever decisions you make,
They'll be the right choices for you.

So keep putting one foot in front of the other,
And taking your life day by day.
There's a brighter tomorrow that's just down the road -
Don't look back! You're not going that way!

Salam PH,
No, I did not. Probably could have, but in a haste it was easier to find something that filled exactly what I needed filled with inside myself.

Salam Ahmed,
I suppose if I wanted to be deceitful I could use my name as author as the author's name was "unknown", but couldn't---it's not in me.

Salam Lost-Libyan,
I have no doubt you've been through many changes in your life, and want to ask you more about them, BUT will respect that you are private about yourself. :-) Ibee stands for nothing other than Barbie was already taken when I originally set-up my email account eons ago. Moreover, IBeBarbie was taken too, so added an extra 'e', and ta-da here I am. (bowing gracefully)

Oh gracious, I just realized you are a Cancer which means you've either had a birthday or one is coming up soon. When? If I missed it I will be sad.

What changes have occurred in your life during the last 3 years that you think have made the most impact on you?

worng! Im a acapricorn, I even have a tattoo of that ;)
mainly the changes are like breaking up the love of my life (at a time), finding out the truth about many back stabbers, being at school of engineering and approaching the start of my career, some family issues are resolved some are even worse, and I had to break myself away from some people coz being with them with comepletly toxic and I owe it all to god and the strengh I found inside me!

Ooooops, my mistake. Your profile said Cancer that’s why I asked the question.

I completely understand the severing of toxic relations. It’s amazing how quickly we fall into these relationships without realizing how toxic they are; they are like a cancer that spread slowly and without notice until it’s nearly too late. Thankfully you were able to save yourself from them, alhamdullilah.

Mabrook on meeting yourself and for allowing God to reveal to you your strengths. It takes real courage to face these changes you shared, and applaud you for facing them now rather than when you are older as the piles of stuff we pack on ourselves between now and then can be burdensome and much longer to get rid of later.
